Lofts Quarries - Office Design

The design began with a simple idea from Sam, to honour the grit and history of Lofts Quarries while creating a workplace that feels calm, cohesive and future ready.

The design draws heavily from the materiality of quarry environments. Textured surfaces, warm neutrals and grounded natural finishes form the core palette, giving the space an authentic and tactile identity. These materials were used strategically to define zones, guide circulation and create visual hierarchy across both levels.

Transparency and light play a strong role in the design. Glazing and subtle screening elements open the space up, allowing natural light to move deeper into the interior while maintaining acoustic balance and spatial clarity. This approach creates seamless transitions between collaborative areas, focused work zones and circulation paths.

Lighting and detailing reinforce the brand’s character. Strong linear forms, considered contrast and robust material choices echo the nature of the quarrying industry without overwhelming the workplace. Sam’s design builds a unified interior language that feels grounded, functional and refined.
